Jordan Environmental - Water Hygiene & Legionella Control services

BritishStandardsBritish Standard BS8558:2011 became the current authoritative document with regard to guidance on ‘the design, installation, testing and maintenance of services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages’ from 1st August 2012.

If you use a water hygiene specialist who is not familiar with this document and cannot brief you on its relevance, then maybe you should be looking for a more informed supplier of these services.

One welcome addition to the document it supersedes, is specific information on the use of continuous disinfection technology and more specifically chlorine dioxide dosing.

This is something we welcome at Jordan Environmental as there is now clear guidance on the commissioning of installed units and the need to prove that they will operate effectively on the specific water system that they serve.

Jordan Environmental have been supplying a bespoke range of Precision Disinfection Technology systems for over five years and have been frustrated by others in the industry who have been miss selling this technology as some sort of panacea for all occasions, which it is not.

It is therefore refreshing to see updated guidance that protects both the professional and honest suppliers and the client.
